BadBob started competing in the Memphis In May BBQ Circuit in 1996. With a B.S. in Chemistry from Lambuth University, a background in computer programming, and a taste for the people-pleasing flavor of slow-smoked southern BBQ, BadBob found himself in a unique position to bring a modern touch to a time-honored tradition.
With countless research and taste tests he perfected a line of rubs and sauces that always kept the judges coming back for more. After years of taking trophy after trophy on the competition circuit, one day he had an idea: Why not bring the same slow-smoked BBQ tradition directly to the people? Thus, BadBob’s BBQ Restaurant was born! Customers far and wide can now enjoy slow-smoked BBQ, smoked 12+ hours each and every night with a proprietary process that replicates the award-winning procedures of his competition cooking.
